I think it’s because she technically has two themes. The first battle which has the epic intro and I think the post game battles just skip to the good stuff
This theme was my favorite of the Pokémon S/V OST. You did an amazing job turning it into something that sounds straight out of my childhood while still being as energetic and powerful as the original. Keep up the great work!
Depends on what you mean by "good." I love the detail of her team being poorly composed and not having optimal movesets *because* she isn't an especially skilled trainer - she's basically fighting you with her pets. Furthermore, this isn't a fight where she particularly wants to win - she's going all-out as what she perceives as one final hurrah for Team Star, and the dialogue reflects that. If they wanted this to be a difficult fight, they would've designed it more like the preceding fight with Clavell just before this, but what makes this fight brilliant for me is the narrative relevance it holds.
@@Ah0yKatie See the problem with that is that the game may not present her as being a noticeably skilled trainer but it still has her be the final boss of that route. She sucks and its unfortunate, it seriously undermines the Team Star plotline. The Eevees are largely bad Pokemon and in fairness only a couple of them ever weren't and thats fine but then they should pick a different team for her.
@@swampert564 I mean, sure, if you think the sole determinator of the quality of a boss fight in a video game is its placement on a difficulty curve. Penny's team comp helps tell a story - it's like how in Hollow Knight, the final boss of every route but the true ending is a pretty easy fight because you're essentially fighting the last gasps of a character that is essentially self-sabotaging in a desire for death despite an infection forcing them to keep going. I'd say it'd be a fair criticism if Penny was the game's actual final boss, but... she isn't, that's AI Sada/Turo. She even has a much more difficult fight right before her, Clavell, for those who came for a challenge. Her fight is there for story reasons, and everything about it, including its level of difficulty, is there to support those aspects of her character.
@@Ah0yKatie First off comparing the story telling at play for Penny to Hollow Knight is either giving Scarlet/Violet far too much credit or Hollow Knight not nearly enough. There is no sole determinator of quality for a boss fight and I never said there was, there are plenty of bosses that are not particularly difficult but still feel convincingly climactic for there placement in the stories. There isn't any reason why Penny can't be a shy introvert and still be a competent final boss (she's on comparable level with the Elite 4 after all) for her part of the story. No one is saying she has to have an optimal team, its not like every other Pokemon boss does by any means but there is a huge disconnect between her placement as one of the major climaxes and her actual battle and no amount of fans insisting that it makes sense for her to suck changes that.
@@Ah0yKatie you can say that all you want, but when you have a big buildup like this only for the boss battle to be a joke, it's kind of jarring and underwhelming to most.
Penny dropping one of the hardest battle themes ever for no reason
Giacomo, you mean. He canonically wrote this banger in-universe.

It's an interesting theme despite the battle lasting so short. Great remix as always!!
耳が癒される〜
Teruo Taniguchi was the MVP of the OST

Honestly, it's like Penny wants to Net Battle.
This is super good, fantastic job!
いつも素晴らしいアレンジありがとうございます!
Exactly what I had been waiting for
I wish her battle was anywhere close to as good as her theme.
